Aaron Willis, AM, LSW, is a Social Work PhD candidate at Indiana University School of Social Work. His dissertation will be an analysis of the Indianapolis, Indiana, Marion County Coroner’s Office records of Rx painkiller and heroin-related overdose deaths from 2007-2014. His research interests involve identifying and implementing strategies to prevent Rx painkiller and heroin-related overdose fatalities and increasing the use and availability of naloxone. He received his master’s in social work from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration, and his bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minnesota.
