Dr. Michael O’Neil received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, N.C. Dr. O’Neil was a critical care pharmacist and pain specialist in several leading medical institutions for over 20 years. He has completed research and published in several leading health professional journals including Medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and nursing. For more than 20 years, Dr. O’Neil has served as consultant and expert on prescription drug abuse and diversion for several entities including the DEA, and Bureaus of Criminal Investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the West Virginia Board of Osteopathic Medicine, the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners, the American Association of Dental Boards and several local law enforcement agencies. In 2003, Dr. O’Neil developed and chaired the West Virginia Controlled Substance Advisory Board and was the founding president of the West Virginia Chapter of National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators. Currently Dr. O’Neil is a professor at South College School of Pharmacy.
