George Scolari is the Behavioral Health Program Manager for Community Health Group. He began his behavioral health career in the trenches back in 1985 at a local psychiatric hospital in San Diego. Mr. Scolari developed a passion for working with the seriously mentally ill as a Mental Health Counselor, and later transitioned to psychiatric intake performing admitting evaluations and providing referral services. His career has flourished into an essential piece of the Healthy San Diego (HSD) Model collaborating with the five local Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans, County Behavioral Health, Aging and Independence Services, and the Consumer Center for Health Education and Advocacy. Mr. Scolari is a member of the San Diego Coordinated Care Initiative Advisory and has been asked to represent HSD at the state level. Additional achievements include chairing the HSD Behavioral Health and Regional Center Work Groups since 1998, helping design 211 San Diego, and represents local health plans on the Saint Vincent de Paul Health Advisory Board.
