Janet Hart is a 1984 graduate of Duquesne University with a B.S. in Pharmacy. She is currently licensed as a pharmacist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland and has been employed by Rite Aid since 1984.
Previously, Ms. Hart held the position of Pharmacy Division Manager and now serves as the Director of Government Affairs. In her current position, Ms. Hart is responsible for DEA Compliance for the over 4,600 pharmacies Rite Aid operates, reporting data to 28 state Prescription Monitoring Programs and responsible for monitoring legislation and regulation impacting Rite Aid in ten states.
She currently serves as President of the Pennsylvania Association of Chain Drug Stores, director for the Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association, participant in the National Association of State Controlled Substance Administrators, Advisory Board member for the Maryland Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, member of the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board Health Career Leadership Council and member of the Women’s Leadership Council for the Capitol Region United Way.
